Photography Classes Can Enrich Your Life

There are lots of reasons to enroll in photography classes. Not understanding your camera is a big one. The desire to learn how to capture an image that lives up to what your eye sees is another. Our students range from total beginners to near-pros. Even a few who, we would say, are pros, given that they occasionally sell their work. We love helping each and every one take the next step forward in their photography education, no matter how elementary or advanced that step might be.

Even more, we love knowing that our students apply what they’ve learned in our photography classes to make some aspect of their life better. Maybe that’s the ability to take good photos of their teen soccer star in action. Or the knowledge to create studio-quality portraits of their toddler at home – which, let’s face it, might be easier than getting a toddler to cooperate with a studio shoot. For some, photography is an outlet. A chance to step away from the demands of their everyday life and to see in a new way. One of our students, Chris, was recently profiled in Dartmouth Medicine Magazine, and he gave C1M’s photography classes a very kind mention. We know from experience that Chris’s photography skills are as impressive as his day job. We’re honored to be traveling with him on part of his photographic journey.
