Your company’s headshots should show potential clients that excellence is a team effort.

By now, most everyone knows that they need a headshot. In fact, it’s a pretty standard part of every businessperson’s branding toolkit: resume, business card, headshot. If you’re out on your own, you naturally want them to be the best they can be, but that’s all you need to worry about.

What about when you’re part of a team, though?

We’ve all visited company websites where the “about us” page looks like a patchwork quilt. You know – those pages where everyone brought their own headshot. While they might be nice enough photos on their own, together they fail to convey any sense of cohesiveness.

The primary job of any company website should be to convey a sense of the corporate culture, as well as the message that every employee is united in a common goal. When the headshots on display vary in style or quality, that sense of teamwork will be missing. And that could carry a cost in the form of seeds of doubt planted in the head of a potential client. A patchwork of headshots suggests a lack of attention to detail. It fails to show the “we’re all in this together” sense that can put potential clients at ease. And it happens subconsciously, putting people off before they’ve engaged with you personally. Fair or not, that means you never get the chance to prove what an awesome team you’re part of. All because of a headshot patchwork! Don’t let this happen to your company.

We strongly recommend engaging a photographer who has a system in place that is guaranteed to give you consistent quality and style. While that, of course, doesn’t have to be C1M, we’d be delighted to help you. Over the years, we’ve honed our skills to provide consistent quality and style, while still allowing each clients unique personality to shine.
