Collaborative Editing: We’re in this together
Collaborative editing … a fancy way of saying that you get to be involved in the process of editing your headshot.
Most of the time when you have your headshot taken, you stand in front of the camera for a while, and then off you go. And you wait for your finished image to arrive. And sometimes, sadly, you aren’t happy when you see the final shot.
Not so at C1M. (Well, you will still have to stand in front of the camera for a while, but we’ve gotten pretty good at making that part quick and painless.)
Once we’ve gotten an image you like, the real fun begins. We edit while you watch, and we do so with your input. Some photographers seem to like to hold editing as a closely guarded secret. We let you in on it. And we do that for a very good reason: you are the best judge of when you look your best.
To be clear, there are some standards your headshot needs to meet to be effective, and we promise you we’ll tick every one of those boxes. Once that’s done, though, the rest is a bit subjective. Maybe there is some aspect of your appearance that really bothers you, but that no one else notices. Because we use a collaborative editing process, you will be right there to point it out, and we can correct it. Or maybe you have some distinctive feature that you love, but that photo editors seem prone to removing. You get to tell us that, too.
With collaborative editing, you’ll be able to make sure that we don’t overlook something that bothers you – and that we don’t push it too far. Most importantly, you’ll know before you leave our studio that you love your headshot.
