… once you know how to use it.

    monthly workshop

Photoshop is the power tool of digital editing. And, as with any power tool, it’s easy to know just enough to get yourself into a heap of trouble. The good news is that you can’t actually saw off a limb with it. The bad news, as we all know from those “15 Photoshop Disasters” articles on Buzzfeed, is that your photo subjects might end up looking as though they’re missing a limb.

Of course, that is the extreme. The more real risk is that you’ll end up with a photo that looks over-processed. One that screams “Photoshop!” at first glance. Photoshop should whisper, never shout. But that takes skill and practice. The elements of Photoshop, while very powerful, are not intuitive.

Have you ever found yourself frustrated by a photo-editing session that went awry? Have you wanted to edit your photos, but been afraid to try because you don’t know enough? Trying to teach yourself these skills can be challenging. Our upcoming Photoshop workshops may be the perfect fit for you. Photoshop 1: The Basics and Photoshop 2: Improving on Reality are part of our new Monthly Workshop Series. These 3-hour sessions will deliver a lot of information in a fun, hands-on classroom setting and still have you on your way in time to enjoy Saturday lunch with the family.

Photoshop 1 will be held on Saturday, February 21st from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Photoshop 2 will be held on Saturday, March 21st from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

We keep monthly workshop class sizes small to allow plenty of time for questions and individual attention. Reserve your spot today in one session or both by registering through our website, where you can get details of what each monthly workshop will cover. Spend a couple of chilly mid-winter mornings with us, and you will be ready to make magic with your spring and summer photos.

And, if you’re looking for the perfect holiday gift for the photography enthusiast in your life, a C1M gift certificate for a monthly workshop or course could be just the ticket.
