  • Why Not Just Take a Selfie?

Really … who needs to spend the time and effort – not to mention the money – it takes to get a professional headshot? If all you hope to do is show potential clients what you look like, any photo will do the job. And if potential clients are trying to choose between you and one of your competitors, what difference would it make if you have a selfie, and your competitor has a well-composed headshot that portrays their professionalism and competence?

Well, it could make a big difference to you.

If just one client a month choses your competitor instead of you, how does that impact your financial position? If you’re in a place where you have all the clients you need and would turn new business away, I have two things to say. First: congratulations! Second: read no further; this post is clearly not for you.

If, on the other hand, you’d love to land your ideal client – the one whose business could mean the difference between thriving and just getting by – you may want to hear us out.

The difference between a selfie and a professional headshot is the difference between a secondhand car with 200K on the odometer and a high-end car with a freshly tuned engine. Both do the same basic job, but one of them does that job exceptionally well and the other … might not.

At C1M, your headshot is much more than a pretty picture. We pay attention to every detail to make sure that your headshot shows you at your polished, professional, competent best. And if your headshot could garner just one more client per month, how would that impact your business?

I could have taken a profile photo myself, but I came to Walter because of his expertise in the psychology behind a good headshot. He listened to what I wanted to achieve from the picture and then made sure it came out perfectly. I appreciated the time and effort he put in and that he didn’t settle. He explained everything he was doing and how it was going to help me get the photo I wanted. He also has an impressive range of technology in his studio, and he’s well-versed in how to use it to make sure a photo comes out exactly right.

I had a great experience at C1M, and the product speaks for itself. If you take how you appear seriously, then Walter is the guy to come to for a headshot that portrays that.
